My name is Sebastian Grey and I am a professional builder and landscaper who specialises in creating beautiful as well as functional spaces both indoors and outdoors: transforming spaces by using quality materials and craftsmanship to enable customers to make the most of their living environment. I believe that the aesthetics of how something looks are equally as important as ensuring that it ‘works’.
My passion for working with the spaces around me began with a trip to Kenya when I was small which gave me the opportunity to observe the weaver bird and how it builds its nest; later I discovered the bower bird in Australia that creates a beautiful and functional nest and then proceeds to decorate it with objects, often using complementary colour schemes in its selection.
In recent years I have developed this passion through working on listed buildings in the UK employing traditional techniques, to transforming run-down gîtes in France into comfortable and attractive family homes. As well as working on Landscaping projects including water features, patios, summer houses, decking and fencing to name but a few.
Working on a wide range of different projects both large and small has taught me how to use materials and techniques sensitively, as well as being mindful of the environmental impact of different choices.
I have successfully run a small business making and installing yurts, for private customers and other organizations such as Greenpeace The Soil Association.
I am a careful listener, resourceful problem-solver, conscientious and reliable; and take a great pride in my work and in my customers’ satisfaction.
